Team Carys Launch Fundraising Initiative
Team Carys has been independently established to raise funds for the Penllergaer Splash Appeal.
Carys Rees passed away in July 2008 after battling with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. Her parents Jenny and Gareth Rees have now
established a memorial fund to pay tribute to Carys’ short but full life. All monies raised will go towards the Penllergaer
Splash Appeal.
Carys was a pupil at Penllergaer Primary School for several years, and it was here at the specialist teaching facility
that the dedicated staff enhanced Carys’ life immeasurably.
A number of fundraising events have been planned, starting with a 24-hour mountain bike ride, with Carys’ dad at the helm.
