Gavin and Stacey star pledges support for Splash Appeal
Swansea born actress Joanna Page has pledged her support for Splash, accepting an invitation to become patron.
Splash Appeal chair, Helen Roberts said she was excited that Joanna was backing the Appeal.
“In the last couple of years we have worked hard to raise the profile of the charity. We have just finished a two year run as a Sainsbury’s Charity of the Year
and last year we were nominated by Councillor Richard Lewis as one of two local charities to benefit from his Lord Mayor’s Fund.
We have also benefited from the support of Swansea Sound and the Wave, and the Ospreys, who sent players to spend a morning with the
children in the PMLD unit.
We are a voluntary group comprised of parents, school staff and supporting businesses and it’s not easy to fundraise in the current economic climate, but having Joanna on board will undoubtedly be a real boost to the appeal.”

Joanna Page said she was delighted to support the Splash Appeal.
“I’m thrilled to be asked to be patron of this charity. The appeal is certainly an ambitious one, but we should all do what we can to help give these youngsters the support they need to improve their life expectancy. I have been invited to visit the PMLD unit to meet the children and I hope to be able to include this in my next visit to Swansea.”
